Job Description

Our client, a well-established property investment company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrator/Bookkeeper to join their team. As the sole financial professional in the company, you will oversee all the financials of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with broad experience and a knack for thinking outside the box.  Additionally, a good understanding of property accounting is desirable for this role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare and file GST and tax returns.
  • Manage the payroll.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of mortgages, rents, tenancies, leases, and other property-related financial matters.
  • Collaborate with property managers, investors, and other stakeholders to address financial queries, resolve issues, and provide necessary financial information.
  • Maintain organised financial records, including contracts, leases, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation.

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the property investment or real estate industry.
  • Strong proficiency in bookkeeping. 
  • Proficient in using Xero accounting software. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Excel. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
