I am currently working on behalf of a prestigious boutique Accountancy Practice in Palmerston North.  They are on the lookout for an Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team.   As an Accountant you will have ownership and maintain a varied portfolio of clients across the commercial sector.

This role is ideal for someone who is qualified or pursuing CA but enjoys a healthy well-defined work / life balance and autonomy within a friendly and collaborative team environment.

What you will be doing;

As an Accountant, this firm will be expecting you to do the following;

• Managing a portfolio of clients via phone, face to face meetings and emails
• Conducting GST / FBT / PAYE and RW returns/payments. 
• Conducting reconciliations and financial statements 
• Advise on Business Strategy, Performance Improvement, Risk Management

Who are we looking for? 

• CA qualified / pursuing CA qualification
• Relevant Business Advisory experience in a public practice environment
• A focus on people and relationships
• Strong analytical skills with an eagerness to learn, grow and progress
• NZ / Australian citizenship or NZ Perm Residency
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to use Xero (or similar software)
