Join a dynamic 20-member accounts team known for its great culture within a thriving company. As the Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing finances for over 40 stores and leased properties, as well as managing a property portfolio valued at over 350 million. Join our client on their exciting growth trajectory as they expand into new locations.

Job Description:

• Intercompany accounting, group consolidation, lease accounting, and board reporting.
• Preparing financial statements and overseeing the year-end process.
• Preparing statutory accounts.
• Handling property accounting.
• Driving process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborating with auditors and leveraging the SAP 4 Hana accounting system.
• Reporting to a supportive Financial Reporting Manager who values autonomy and growth.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

• Big 4 experience - Audit (desirable).
• Commercial Accounting experience, although not essential.
• Strong experience working with retail clients.
• In-depth tax knowledge (preferred)
• A solid understanding of accounting standards, especially IFRS16.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with auditors.
• Exposure to stock exchange reporting, preferably on NZX or ASX.
