As the Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing finances for over 40 stores and leased properties, as well as managing a property portfolio valued at over 350 million. Join our client on their exciting growth trajectory as they expand into new locations.
Job Description:
- Intercompany accounting, group consolidation, lease accounting, and board reporting.
- Preparing financial statements and overseeing the year-end process.
- Preparing statutory accounts.
- Handling property accounting.
- Driving process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborating with auditors and leveraging the SAP 4 Hana accounting system.
- Reporting to a supportive Financial Reporting Manager who values autonomy and growth.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
- Big 4 experience - Audit (desirable).
- Commercial Accounting experience, although not essential.
- Strong experience working with retail clients.
- In-depth tax knowledge (preferred)
- A solid understanding of accounting standards, especially IFRS16.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with auditors.
- Exposure to stock exchange reporting, preferably on NZX or ASX.
