Job Description

I am currently working on behalf of a boutique C.A firm based in the Hutt Valley who are on the lookout for an experienced BAS Accountant to join their team.

 

As a BAS Accountant you will be able to maintain a small portfolio of clients and produce tax returns, financial statements and end to end payroll runs on a regular basis.

 

This role is ideal for someone who has current CA public practice experience that wants a well-defined work / life balance and autonomy in the office. No more late-night grafts and overwhelming deadlines to manage. Just smooth transactions and exceptional customer service!

General requirements of the role are:

 

  • Managing a portfolio of clients via face-to-face meetings, phone and email-based communication
  • Full end to end client advisory
  • Conducting GST / FBT / PAYE and RWT returns/payments
  • Conducting reconciliations and financial statements
  • Running payroll runs for a variety of clients  
  • Competent understanding of compliance legislation
  • Ability to use XERO or MYOB at an intermediate/advanced level
  • CAANZ certification (or close to achieving this)
  • At least 3 years of recent industry experience in New Zealand
