What you would be doing   

This role reports into the General Manager and sits alongside a team of like-minded professionals.

The roles' objective is to provide guidance on reporting, insights and advisory on financial outcomes for a variety of different workflows that take place within the organisation.  This role will provide in depth advice on the company’s adherence to various accounting standards, cash flow reporting and month end processes.

The role also entails additional hours as a Bookkeeper / Office Administrator pending the candidate’s availability and fit beyond the 20 hours a week.

   

You will be expected to do the following:   

  • Prepare & Review Financial Statements
  • External reporting to various stakeholders within public sector    
  • Balance sheet reconciliations / statements / cashflow monitoring and actuals   
  • Ad hoc Bookkeeping & Office Administration duties

 

Who are we looking for?   

I’m on the lookout for anyone who has demonstrated experience as a Financial Accountant who has had exposure to the horticulture / agriculture / manufacturing industry. Ideally you will have strong knowledge of various accounting standards and you’ll be open to starting a new and exciting opportunity in Motueka.

Ideally, you will have:     

  • Exposure to horticulture / agriculture accounting environments would be beneficial 
  • Recent experience with Xero or a similar FMIS    
  • Great relationship management abilities     
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
