In-house Private Chef
Our client is a private residence based in Glendowie. The Matriarch of the family is looking for some home help as a result of her current chef relocating back to Europe having been employed for over 21 years. Our client originates for eastern Europe, therefore some experience cooking European cuisine would be beneficial.
Responsibilities include:
- 20-30 hours per week from mid-December, primarily cooking for the owner.
- On occasion, cooking for small dinner parties
- Meal Preparation - planning and preparing meals according to the dietary preferences and restrictions of the household.
- Menu Planning - creating weekly menus in consultation with the owner, considering seasonal ingredients and special occasions.
- Shopping for Ingredients - sourcing high-quality ingredients, including fresh produce, meats, and specialty items.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Utilising various cooking techniques and styles (European) to create diverse and flavourful dishes.
Bit about you:
- Must enjoy cooking and be happy to learn new recipes.
- Eastern European cooking experience advantageous.
- Strong communicator, good time management and reliable.
- Must have own transport, as the position requires trips to the supermarket.
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
