Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and strategic professional to lead engagement, development, and relationship-building initiatives for a highly respected national membership-based organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Manager – Engagement & Development will play a critical role in enhancing member value, delivering impactful educational programmes, and strengthening industry and stakeholder relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys the diversity of working with creative professionals, and is motivated by creating lasting impact through strong partnerships and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategies to grow and retain sponsorships and partnerships that align with organisational goals.

  • Oversee the delivery and promotion of professional development programmes on current and emerging issues.

  • Develop marketing and engagement campaigns that reinforce member value and brand positioning.

  • Collaborate with the wider team to deliver targeted events and conferences.

  • Support regional branches and stakeholders with resources that align with the organisation’s strategic goals.

  • Provide leadership to the Membership Services Lead and foster a high-performance culture.

  • Monitor and measure sponsorship effectiveness and development outcomes.

  • Champion the professional interests and public contribution of members.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management or membership development.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives that drive measurable impact in a membership or service-based environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with brand, sponsorship, or marketing initiatives.

  • The ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day programme delivery.

  • A collaborative, agile mindset and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
