Job Description

We are currently working on the behalf of a well-regarded, family-run accountancy firm based in Matamata who are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant / Aspiring Client Manager to join their team. 

In this role, you will be able to maintain a portfolio of clients and provide accounting advice to various agricultural and commercial clients

What you would be doing  

As the Senior Accountant you will be doing any of the following:  

• Managing a portfolio of clients, liaising with various accounting issues
• Conducting various tax returns and compliance
• Preparing and reconciling financial statements
• Assist in accounting services such as; budgeting, cashflow, management reporting

Who are we looking for? 

We’re interested in hearing from people who have prior experience working in public practice, who are excellent communicators, have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle workloads and deadlines.  If that sounds familiar, we would love to hear from you!

Ideally, you should have the following experience: 

• Proficient in all MS Office tools
• Experience in Tax returns & Compliance
• Experience in client engagement
• Exposure to systems such as; Xero, APS or similar accounting software would be a benefit

In order to be successful in this role you must have recent experience within a New Zealand based Public Practice Chartered Accounting firm.
