What you would be doing
This management accounting role reports into the Finance team leader and works with a team of likeminded professionals as they navigate through BAU and project phases.
The role’s objective is to provide on-going advice and expertise via financial modelling, budgeting, commentary and insights for the wider organisation and local community.
You will be expected to do the following:
- Establish business partnering relationships with various business units
- Collaborate with project teams and become their trusted financial advisor
- Provide expert advice on cost centre budgets, cash flow forecasts and Capex
- Assist in development of system reporting capabilities and functionalities
- Financial statement preparation / monthly actuals, budgets, forecasts and month end processes
Who are we looking for?
I’m on the lookout for anyone who has demonstrated experience as a management accountant or finance business analyst that has exposure to either a large public sector or corporate working environment. You must have a passion for analytics, storytelling and financial advisory.
You will have a passion for building relationships and becoming that highly desirable link between the finance team and other business units.

To be successful you must have the following:
- CA or CPA certification (or close to it)
- 2 years of management accounting experience
- The ability to use workable financial models
- Capable of pulling apart financial / non-financial data and providing user friendly insights
- Exposure to several ERP systems
- A personable approach with a kind and friendly attitude
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- A sense of humour is always handy too
