This organisation based in South Auckland is well known for providing fluid control and other industrial equipment across the nation. Due to busy operations they are seeking a hands on and experienced Financial Accountant to be a part of their close knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of a business and wants to make a meaningful contribution. 

About the role:

This is a full time, office based role. It would suit someone who thrives in a busy collaborative environment. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business operations, and providing insightful financial reporting to help drive their on - going growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensuring the company meets compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
• Assist with payroll 
• Monitor cash flow and financial controls
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• Previous similar experience as a Company Accountant/Financial Accountant – ideally 3+ years
• CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification - essential 
• Tech savvy and proficient with accounting ERP systems and modern tools
• Highly motivated and a team player 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
