Job Description
This organisation, based in central Auckland is a well-known, successful global entertainment brand. They are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Financial Accountant to be part of their close-knit team.
About the role:
This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the CFO based in Australia
- Maintain accurate financial records in SAP
- Complete month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Lead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience
- Provide general support across the business in NZ and Australia
- Preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for review
- Manage payables/creditor processes including reviewing supplier invoices and payroll
- Prepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts
- Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework
- Provide strategic input into the direction of the CFO alongside senior management
- Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile
About you:
- 5 + years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis
- CA or CPA qualification - essential
- Experience within media/entertainment - an advantage
- Process-oriented with a commitment to excellence and routine
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates confidentiality, trustworthiness, and professionalism
- Tech savvy, adaptable and responsive to change
- Creative problem solver with resilience in overcoming obstacles
- Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial modelling
