Job Description
We're working with a fast growing, global drinks company that’s absolutely smashing it in NZ, the UK, and the US. They’ve won awards, have a great product, and are scaling fast. Think fast paced, innovative, constantly evolving and they need someone sharp to join their finance team.
They’re on the hunt for an Assistant Accountant to support their Finance Manager, across all things numbers. This is a newly created role, so there's loads of room to make it your own, learn the ropes, and grow with the business.
What the role actually looks like:

Loading and coding supplier invoices across NZ, UK, and US entities

Setting up supplier payments for approval

Managing vendor records (including W9s for US)

Bank and credit card reconciliations (daily/weekly)

Chasing up international claims and overdue accounts

Matching inventory bills to POs using Unleashed

Reconciling data between Unleashed, Xero, and SPS orders

Supporting month end close with journals, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations and inventory

Pulling together management reporting

Getting involved in GST, VAT, US sales tax returns

Operating within Xero, Unleashed, and other integrated systems
There’s a tiny bit of payroll (monthly NZ and mostly automated US), but it’s a small piece of the puzzle.
What they’re looking for:
Someone sharp, hungry, and ready to get stuck in. You’ll need to be confident working independently, but there’s a solid team around you and heaps of support when you need it.
Ideally, you're coming from a start up, scale up, or fast paced business, or maybe you’ve grown up around business. You get the hustle and you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Must haves:

Great with systems - Xero experience is a big win

Comfortable working across multiple countries and systems

Proactive, solutions focused, and naturally curious
Nice-to-haves:

Exposure to multi entity finance environments

Experience in FMCG, e-comm, or another high volume industry
