The role
The Finance Manager is responsible for handling and maintaining the consultancy’s accounting function, whilst providing strategic insights to the leadership team and processing the day-to-day accounts for the business.
The company is currently exploring a variety of solutions around system upgrades and the Finance Manager will have the chance to influence these projects.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be CAANZ or CPA qualified and have demonstrated finance management experience within a SME level business that is both service and revenue driven.
You will be doing any of the following:
- Provide financial guidance and advice to leadership team
- Support the direct report on a daily basis
- Budget and cashflow forecast management for the business
- Monthly financial reporting and commercial insights to leadership team
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Capital and operational expenditure
- Tax compliance – GST / PAYE / FBT
- Payroll management
- Accounts payables / receivables and credit control oversight
What you’ll need to succeed
I am looking for an experienced Finance Manager who wants to join a successful consultancy in the city. You will need to be inquisitive, detail orientated, highly motivated and dedicated to your craft. You’ll enjoy stakeholder negotiations, love collaboration, have a tactical attitude with a keen focus towards commercial success.
Ideally, you’ll have the following expertise:
- CA or CPA certification
- Current finance management experience
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities at senior leadership team level
- Ability to provide insights on your team’s findings
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Strong FMIS and MS Excel capabilities
