This organisation, based in central Auckland is a well-known, successful global entertainment brand. They are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Financial Accountant to be part of their close-knit team.

About the role:

This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the CFO based in Australia

• Maintain accurate financial records in SAP 
• Complete month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Lead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience
• Provide general support across the business in NZ and Australia
• Preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for review
• Manage payables/creditor processes including reviewing supplier invoices and payroll
• Prepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts
• Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework
• Provide strategic input into the direction of the CFO alongside senior management
• Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile

About you:

• 5 + years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis
• CA or CPA qualification - essential
• Experience within media/entertainment - an advantage
• Process-oriented with a commitment to excellence and routine
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates confidentiality, trustworthiness, and professionalism
• Tech savvy, adaptable and responsive to change
• Creative problem solver with resilience in overcoming obstacles
• Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial modelling
