The Financial Controller is a critical role that sits within the senior leadership team at the head office site in Porirua.
This opportunity reports directly into the General Manager and is a leadership focused role that will provide ongoing financial expertise to the wider business.
Their team are completely autonomous, collaborative, and forward thinking. Allowing the Financial Controller to have full scope and creativity as the business continues to grow.
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated experience within senior finance, exposure to construction or distribution environments would be beneficial (but not essential) and ideally be a fully certified CAANZ or CPA accountant.
The organisation is also going through a FMIS system implementation project. So having experience within this space would be highly advantageous.
You will be doing any of the following:
- Capital expenditure.
- Cost analytics and insights
- Monthly profit and loss reporting
- Overview of Accounts Payables and Receivables function
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Budgeting and Cashflow Forecasting
- Month end reporting to leadership team
- Analysis and product cost control
What you’ll need to succeed
I am looking for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager who has the ambition to grow with the company. You must have a collaborative and tactical attitude with a keen focus towards commercial success.
- CA or CPA certification
- Commercial acumen
- Strong FMIS system capabilities – ideally using NetSuite
- Strong MS Excel capabilities
- A friendly and engaging personality
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities
