What you would be doing?
The Assistant Accountant reports into the Accounting Manager and sit alongside a team of like-minded professionals. The roles objective is to provide expert advisory on all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes along with a variety of different reporting procedures,
workflows and projects that take place within the agency.
You will be expected to do the following:
- End to end Accounts Payable processes
- End to end accounts Receivable processes
- Month end reporting
- Payment processes
- General ledger functions
- External Audit liaison contribution
Who are we looking for?
I’m on the lookout for anyone who has demonstrated experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Administrator with a comprehension of NZ Government financial functions and exposure to project environments that is open to starting a new and exciting opportunity within a reputable public sector organisation.
Ideally, you will have the following:
- Over 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Over 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Knowledge of general accounting practices
- Ability to work in project environments
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
